On April 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, delivered a welcoming speech at the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation between the University of Phayao and Murata Electronics (Thailand), Ltd. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Hirokazu Sasahara, Managing Director of Murata Electronics (Thailand), Ltd. (Head Office), and Associate Professor Dr. Nattapong Damrongwiriyanupap, the Dean of the School of Engineering. The event took place at the Special Professor Dr. Monthon Sanguansermsri Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the University of Phayao Hospital.
The purpose of signing a memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation is to enhance the potential of personnel and students through collaborative education, internships, and work tours. This will result in graduates with advanced skills and abilities, enabling them to adapt to technological advancements and meet the demands of industrial agencies. The agreement supports the new graduate project, which aims to develop a skilled workforce to fulfill the needs of the manufacturing sector in accordance with the Thai higher education reform policy. It specifically focuses on enhancing the skills of personnel working at Murata Electronics (Thailand), Ltd. or related fields. This includes collaboration in research and academic services in modern production technology. The MOU aims to elevate the standard of education to align with the requirements of the industrial sector, in accordance with the country’s education policy.
